Module Two

Creating a powerhouse team.

The first step in creating a powerhouse team starts with the leader’s personal journey and awareness of their own vision, strengths and the environment they need for success. The next step is leading their team on the same journey. This 5 step program builds on the Leader’s journey in Module one: “Becoming an extraordinary leader”, using the insights and new skills learned to lead their team on the same journey.  

Your team will learn how to:

  • Understand their strengths and how best to use them
  • Understand the strengths of their team mates, including those of their leader
  • Work together and leverage the combined strengths of the team
  • Create an environment that sets the team up for success
  • Clearly define and understand the roles and responsibilities of each team member, based on their strengths profile
  • This program is delivered via a combination of webinar and a face to face 2 day workshop
  • This foundational module must be completed before module 3.

Module Three

The Vision Session.

This one day workshop takes the newly aware and invigorated team and focusses on discovering and articulating the team vision. Building on the previous  two modules, this is a powerful way to practice strengths based team work, and to create the team vision together, resulting in clarity,  ownership and a clear sense of purpose. During this session the team will: 

  • Articulate the "who", "what", "why", "wow" and "how"
  • Define the 3 year vision of the business
  • Identify the challenges to achieving that vision
  • Work through how to turn those challenges into strategies for success
  • This program is delivered via a one day face to face workshop.

Module Four

The Structure Session.

Building on previous modules that have established the team strengths and vision, the team will now work together to form the plan to achieve their goals. During the day the team will:

  • Break down the vision into measurable goals
  • Clearly articulate measures of success
  • Define role accountability and set the operating rhythm of the team
  • Produce a framework for performance measurement
  • This program is delivered via a one day face to face workshop.

Module Five

The Environment Session.

Building on the other four modules, this session takes all the work the team has done thus far, and has a candid look at the environment that will be necessary for success. Often, teams walk away from these days with the best intentions, but then revert back to previous patterns. Why? Because the environment is not set up for success. In this session we practically plan for success by:

  • Defining agreed operating rhythms for the team, including a common language and social contract
  • Ensuring absolute clarity around roles and expectations
  • Candidly examining the current culture and environment, and identifying barriers to success
  • Defining key processes that will need to be in place to move performance, culture and environment forward to the desired state
  • Discussing and agree the values and behaviours that are needed to underpin the right behaviour and performance
  • This program is delivered via a one day face to face workshop.
